Who we are:
Indefi is a fast-growing strategy consulting firm that serves financial investors (private equity specialists, generalist asset managers, wealth managers, etc.). Established in 2007, we are a team of 80+ consultants with offices in Paris, Lyon, Madrid and London.
We operate through three business units:
- Sustainability Advisory: We help our clients define and deliver their Responsible Investment strategy and operating model. We work across the value chain to support investors and portfolio companies in defining and embedding their chosen approach to ESG and sustainability impact.
- Private Equity: We help private equity firms make better investment decisions at every stage of the deal life cycle and build greater returns. We also advise on investment firm strategy and development, creating value through improved performance.
- Corporate Strategy: We conduct strategic development projects for global asset managers, including business strategy, market entry, distribution strategy, new product development, non-organic growth, and investment process enhancement.
As part of our local and international development, we are looking for postgraduate students or recent graduates from top-tier business and engineering schools/universities to join us as Senior Strategy Consultants - Private Equity for our Lyon office.
Mission:
You will contribute to several international projects covering a wide range of challenging topics, primarily strategic due diligence - aimed at providing an objective assessment of acquisition targets and identifying and validating relevant value creation strategies - as well as exit support assignments.
As a Senior Strategy Consultant, your main responsibilities will include:
- Leading project execution through data analysis, field research, and interviews with senior decision-makers;
- Analyzing and interpreting research findings to deliver clear, actionable strategic recommendations;
- Developing sector expertise in areas such as healthcare, consumer products and retail, B2B services, education, and transport;
- Supporting client executives by formulating and delivering high-level strategic advice;
- Guiding and mentoring junior consultants, sharing best practices, and contributing to collective knowledge through weekly team meetings;
- Participating in internal initiatives aligned with your interests and motivation (e.g., skills-based volunteering in partnership with associations);
- Contributing to the firm’s growth by taking part in recruitment efforts and helping prepare business proposals.
Your Profile:
- Graduated from a top business or engineering school;
- Work experience at either strategy consulting firms, strategy divisions, or M&A departments of international groups, investment banks, asset management, or private equity firms;
- Strong skills and experience in Microsoft PowerPoint and good knowledge of Excel;
- Good knowledge of Private Equity topics;
- Full fluency in French and English is mandatory.
- A good working knowledge of other European languages would be a plus.
